A windbreaker (or windproof jacket) is a lightweight outer layer designed to keep wind out while letting heat and moisture escape. The Telford achieves this with our WindTEC membrane — a thin, high-performance layer that blocks wind completely whilst remaining breathable.

Is this jacket completely waterproof?

No, the Telford jacket is not fully waterproof. While the outer fabric is treated with a Durable Water Repellent finish to protect you from light rain and mist, it is not seam-sealed. If you need a fully waterproof option for heavy rain, check out our VaporTEC range.

Will I overheat in a windproof jacket?

No! Thanks to the breathable WindTec membrane, the Telford blocks wind without trapping heat, keeping you comfortable even while on the move.

How warm is this jacket?

It’s designed as a mid-layer or everyday jacket. The windproofing and fleece lining make it far warmer than a regular jacket, but we recommend layering with warm underlayers like merino in very cold conditions.

Can I machine wash it?

Yes, the Telford is fully machine washable—easy care for everyday use.
